Mission Statement
Faith is a word that has been thrown around as long as I can remember. It’s an interesting word and it appears to have lots of meaning, or at least in the minds of people that use it. Over the last ten plus years I have asked hundreds of people to define the word faith and to this day I have yet to get a clear definitive answer. That tells me that people either don’t know or are not sure what faith really is.
Merriam-Webster defines it several ways, (www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/faith) one of the definitions used is “a system of religious belief”. That would be an indication that faith and religion go together. After a quick search on the internet, one website claimed that several years ago that there were over 30,000 different religions or faiths. That’s 30,000 different “systems of religious belief”. So, what’s the problem?
Ephesians 4:2-6 “with all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, forbearing one another in love, being diligent to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of the peace; one body and one Spirit, according as also ye were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in you all.” [Emphasis Added]
It is the mission of Clarion Broadcasting Group, Inc. to inform, educate and invite our viewers to have that one true faith, not a “systems of religious belief” but a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; a faith that saves.
